DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skill
Sets:
Experience in a college counseling center in
areas such as clinical assessment, therapy, crisis management, and
consultation.
Experience in providing mental health services
to under-served client populations (i.e., ethnicity, race, sexual orientation,
gender identity/expression, nationality, religious/spiritual background,
varying ability levels, etc.).
Experience
in managing crisis situations during the day and after-hours.
Experience in providing culturally
competent supervision of trainees.
Demonstrated
interest, expertise, and experience in the area of outreach and prevention
Must be
knowledgeable about research and models related to the delivery of wellness
programs.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal
communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver
presentations to a wide range of audiences
Strong
organizational skills and exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills. Ability to effectively consult with stakeholders within
and outside the college.
Possess
solid managerial skills and understand the necessary qualities and skills
needed for hiring, as well as the ability to effectively supervise.
Be able
to effectively manage projects.
Solid
understanding of ethics.
Ability to work independently and take
initiative
Ability to effectively manage time
constraints and deadlines
